So where does a Freedom Ride go you ask?

Eastern Market is located at 701 Pennsylvania Ave. Southeast. Eastern Market Station is on the Orange and Blue Line. Tour participants will meet at 12:00 pm. Tour leaves at 12:30 sharp!

Minnesota Ave Metro Station is located in Ward 7 in Washington, Dc the station is right next to the PEPCO Benning Road Facility a Trash Transfer station, I-295 Highway entrance and the Anacostia Waterfront. These facilities have polluted the surrounded the communities  for over 100 years. In May 2012 the Benning Road Power Plant will be officially decommissioned. PEPCO is currently working with the District Department of Environment to clean-up  the water and land around the facility.

The Shaw/U Street community has been in a constant state of change since the early 1990's. Home to the both the historic Lincoln Theater, and new Howard Theater, Ben's Chili Bowl, and so many other beautiful pieces of rich culture that made this area so prominent during the Renaissance.
